Leonetti began his career as a cinematographer in the early 1980s, working on films such as The Lost Boys and The Goonies. He has since worked on a variety of films, including Mortal Kombat, The Butterfly Effect, and Insidious: Chapter 2. In 2013, Leonetti directed the horror film Annabelle, which was a spin-off of The Conjuring. He also directed the sequel, Annabelle: Creation, in 2017. As of 2021, John R.
